Kellogg’s wanted to provide consumers access to three exclusive clips from The Amazing Spider-Man™ movie in order to drive purchases of their products. Helios built an Augmented Reality mobile application that was integrated into more than 80 million various Kellogg’s breakfast packaging. Consumers would then use their ‘Spidey Sense’ (and the camera on their smart phone) to launch the exclusive video content, trailer, and links to special offers. Kellogg’s and Sony pictures partnered to deliver unique content to Kellogg’s customers for the latest Spider-Man movie series. Helios worked with App Delegates to determine the AR platform and work out the creative. We selected the Aurasma platform for its cross platform reach and the ability to easily configure AR targets through their content management system. The response from Kellogg’s customers was overwhelming. In the first six months hundreds of thousands of users across the globe downloaded the app and viewed the exclusive content trailers.
